A Gilded Age Brownstone’s Stoop and Entry, Restored Down to the Brass

We kept the 1886 brass, refinished the original vestibule tile and wrapped the vestibule in botanical paper and near-black paint, then let the hall beyond go quiet.

FEATURED PROJECT  ·  KITCHENS

A Garden-Level Kitchen Gives a Brownstone a New Heart

We replaced an all-stainless, restaurant-style kitchen with a fifteen-foot Calacatta Viola island, built for eight stools and an ordinary weeknight.

A start-to-finish design process for large-scale renovations.→

From the earliest architectural decisions through final installation, we guide the design of every detail. Each surface, fixture and finish is considered. The result is a home with a level of craft and cohesion only a start-to-finish process can deliver. Layered, expressive and deeply personal.

01Full-Service Design↓

We provide full-service design for New York City townhouses: classic architecture, bold color and a modern point of view, designed for how people actually live. We work with intention rather than trend, balancing old and new, bold and restrained, warm and architectural. The result is a home that feels right today and still has something to say twenty years from now.

Our Virtual Design service is built for a smaller renovation or room refresh. Why This Queen Anne Dining Room Went Dark Green

We took this eleven-foot-high dining room dark green, framing botanical walls between white paneling and a new plaster crown.
