Every project begins with a conversation about how you live, what you love, and how you want your home to feel. We translate that understanding into mood boards, space plans, and a clear direction for layouts, materials, and color, refining the choices together before anything is ordered. From there, we develop detailed elevations, renderings, and specifications for kitchens, baths, millwork, lighting, furnishings, and finishes.

We work closely with your architect, builder, and specialist craftspeople, or help bring the right team together, so the design carries through to construction. We handle sourcing and purchasing, coordinate vendors and track every delivery. When something arrives damaged or runs late, we deal with it, so you don't have to. Finally, we oversee installation and the finishing touches, bringing every piece together into a home that feels cohesive, considered, and unmistakably yours.

How does Stoop work with my architect and builder?

We lead the interior vision, from layouts and materials to custom details and furnishings. We work alongside your architect and builder so design and construction move together. They remain the licensed professionals responsible for architecture and construction.

When should I bring Stoop in?

As early as you can. Joining before architectural plans are final lets us shape the whole house as one vision. If drawings are underway or a builder is already hired, we'll fit right in.

Can you help before I buy a townhouse?

Yes. Our Before You Buy consultations start at $5,000. We help you explore a townhouse's design potential, possible layouts, and original details worth preserving. Depending on the scope, we can also create preliminary renderings to help you picture the possibilities. An inspector, engineer, and attorney should handle technical and legal due diligence.

How much does it cost to work with Stoop?

Full-Service Design engagements begin at $150,000 in design fees, with a custom proposal for each home. Virtual Design starts at $5,000 per room; kitchens, baths, and more complex spaces are quoted individually. Before You Buy consultations begin at $5,000, with deliverables based on the scope. Construction, furnishings, and other third-party costs are separate.

Do I need an architect already?

Not at all. We've assembled an exceptional network of architects, builders, artisans, and specialist craftspeople, and we're happy to make introductions. If you already have a team, we'll collaborate closely with them.

Do you take on smaller projects?

Yes. Our Virtual Design service is suited to one or two rooms and starts at $5,000 per room. We provide a tailored concept, layout, material selections, and a curated sourcing list. You manage ordering and installation with your own builder. Kitchens, baths, and more involved spaces are quoted individually.
